1889 - Founded as the Cincinnati Training School for Nurses through the support of the Ladies Board of Managers.

1896 - Became an integral part of the Cincinnati Hospital, eventually accorded the rank of a professional school of the College of Medicine.

1916 - Became the first college to offer a Bachelor in Science of Nursing (BSN).

1956 - Among the first colleges to offer the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.

1968 - Moved to Procter Hall.

1990 - Implemented the Doctoral program (PhD) in nursing and established the Center for Nursing Research.

1993 - Started offering the Accelerated MSN Program for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing.

2001 - Started offering international clinicals.

2002 - Started offering the nursing co-op program.

2005 - First distance learning (online) programs offered.

2010 - Implemented the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

2012 - Launched the iCoN Initiative, redefining traditional nursing education.

2014 - Becomes the only nursing college to earn the Apple Distinguished School designation.

2015 - Hosted the first iCoN Summer Institute, open to nationwide educators and health professionals.

2017 - Recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the second time.

2018 - Starts integrating the 1819 Innovation Hub into the BSN curriculum. Recognized as Apple Distinguished School for the third time.

2020 - Designated as a National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in the "Enhance Student Learning and Professional Development" category.

2021 - Recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the fourth time.

2024 - Redesignated as a National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in the "Enhance Student Learning and Professional Development" category.

2024 - Recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the fifth time.
